Dear friends in Christ,
By the time that you read this lateset Newsletter, I will be in Assisi, Italy , preparing to leave for Rome where I will spend a few days before returning to Canada on April 13 th. During the past month, I had the opportunity to go to Lourdes, France, and Fatima, Portugal, where I prayed to Our Lady of Lourdes and Our Lady of Fatima for the needs of the supporters and visitors of the Catholic Doors Ministry, especially those who have written to ask for my humble daily prayers. I trust that Jesus will bless many of you through the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Early last year, I was reading in our Diocesan Newspaper, the "Prairie Messenger," that a survey had been done of over 800 Catholic websites in the U.S. The majority of the websites enjoyed 1,000 visitors per month, one enjoying 12,000 visitors and the most popular enjoying 25,000 visitors. Although Canada only has 10% of the US population, and one should be happy if he has 2,500 visitors per month, I prayed to see the day when the Catholic Doors Ministry would enjoy 25,000 visitors per month. This month, I rejoice in letting you know that we have finally reached that goal. With a 10% increase in visitors during March, the Catholic Doors Ministry will slightly surpass the new record of 25,000 visitors. Many thanks to all the visitors. This popularity could not have been possible without your involvement, many of youhaving told your friends about the abundance of spiritual material that is found on this website.
With the approach of Easter, the Church reminds those who have been neglecting their spiritual lives to make a special effort to receive the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist at least once a year, preferably on Easter Sunday. Naturally, that means being in a state of grace by receiving the Sacrament of Confession that reinstates the righteousness of Christ that was received during the Sacrament of Baptism. My prayers are with all of you who need the strength of God to tend to your spiritual needs during this Easter Season. We must always be prepared for we never know when the Lord Jesus will call us home.
May the peace and joy that comes from the glorious Resurrection of the Lord Jesus be with you all.
