HEY, HEY, HO
[1937, Ed Chenette]

Hey, hey, ho, the north winds blow
o'er the ice and frozen snow;
Sleigh bells sing, as we sing,
on our way we go.
Santa Claus lives up there with the reindeer,
and the bear, and will roam,
thru his home,
Up in the northern world.

Tra la la, we shout and sing,
and our echoes loudly ring,
As our steed, with all speed,
takes up on our way.
Santa Claus at the door greets us
with a lusty roar,
merrily, bids us be
Guests for a nice long stay.

Hip, hip, hip, and how we yell,
as we make our fond farewell,
And we cry, as we fly,
on our homeward road.
Santa Claus waves "good-bye,"
and then turns with a deep sigh,
for a lone, he must roam,
Up in the northern world.
