Prayer to the Holy Mother of Gidle

Mary, the most holy mother of all mothers,
From the Cross of Salvation,
The Lord Jesus Christ said the words,
By which He connected for ever the destiny of a man
With your maternal protection
And presence during our earthly pilgrimage.
So many times heavenly mother, you confirmed
That it is not a burden for you to carry
The distress, sorrow and pain of your children.
Today, when I experience everyday worry,
Diseases and pain, I call upon You,
Mother, come and help me.
Teach me in the silence of my heart
To receive the everyday cup of sufferings.
In humility, I ask of you,
If it is consistent with the Father's Will,
For a healing of my soul and body,
May I be forgiven through your intercession.
In life and in good health, I serve you
For the glory of your Son.
May such be a testimony
Of your maternal care and protection
By which you encompasses us everyday.

Obtain for me also, Holy Mother of Gidle
The necessary strength to carry my cross everywhere,
In order for it to become acceptable to the Lord
As a means of compensation for all my sins
And the sins of the whole world.

Our Lady of Gidle, Health of the Sick,
pray for us.

Before I use this vine, in which the Figure of Gidle,
Famous because of its graces, was dipped,
I call to You, Mother and ask for Your Mother's touch.
Strengthen my faith, heal my soul and body
So I can announce with a clean heart
Your maternal love and your powerful intercession
For me before the Lord Jesus.
