Repeat the following Novena prayers every day for 9 consecutive days.
First Prayer:
Dear St. Tarcisius you lived in a dangerous time to be a Christian.
Despite the risk, you held fast to your faith
and bravely chose to defend the body of Christ
present in the Eucharist at the expense of your own.
To the last moment you cherished Jesus’ gift of Himself.
Intercede and pray for us
that we may have courage and a deep faith.
Pray that we may never forget how precious a gift the Holy Eucharist is for us.
You who are now united with the Lord
please obtain for us the petitions we are seeking.
[Mention your need(s) here...]
We thank you for your intercession and prayers.
Amen.
Second Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I profoundly adore You,
really present in the Most Holy Sacrament of the altar.
I love You, and desire to love and serve You more perfectly.
I do reparation to your Sacred Heart,
for the negligence and indifference
which is often shown to your true Body and Blood.
I thank You for the great privilege of serving You on the Sanctuary,
and resolve for the future to serve You with greater fervour,
devotion, attention, and exactness.
O Lord, let my example when on the Sanctuary
never be an occasion for scandal to my neighbour,
but rather encourage others to greater reverence.
May I always act as I believe,
and show by my example my belief in the great truths of our Faith.
Most Blessed Mary, Mother of our Lord,
obtain for me by your prayers
the grace to serve your Son with reverence and devotion.
Saint Tarcisius, pray for me,
that I may follow your example
by defending the honour of the Blessed Sacrament
all the days of my life and even unto death.
Amen.
Third Prayer:
O God, You have graciously called me to serve You upon Your altar.
Grant me the graces that I need to serve You faithfully and wholeheartedly.
Grant too that while serving You,
may I follow the example of St. Tarcisius,
who died protecting the Eucharist,
and walk the same path that led him to Heaven.
St. Tarcisius, pray for me and for all servers.
Amen.
