Dear Saint Anthony, my respectful greetings!
Recently I read somewhere about your knowledge of Holy Scripture
and of the powerful impact of your sermons even on hardened sinners.

There is only one way I can imitate you as a preacher...
not with words, but by deeds and example.

As with most other people,
my life is an open book,
more revealing than any sermon;
and my actions speak louder than words.
Please help me always, wherever I am,
to remain aware of the influence on others of everything I do.

With your continued help, St. Anthony,
may I be able to imitate you in preaching
by a life that speaks of devotedness to God.
