Father, all-powerful and ever-living God,
we do well always and everywhere to give You thanks.

You founded Your Church on the apostles
to stand firm for ever as the sign on earth
of Your infinite holiness and as the living gospel for all to hear.

With steadfast love we sing Your unending praise;
