Dear supporters of Catholic Doors Ministry,

The Lord provides generously to those who seeks to do His good works without filling their pockets with what rightfully belongs to Him. In the last 20 years, Jesus has always provided for the needs of Catholic Doors Ministry, without my having to beg for this cause. Some may say, you did beg for some money for the mission in India. The mission in India is not part of Catholic Doors Ministry. It is a Diocese on its own, the Diocese of Kannur. Catholic Doors Ministy undertook to assist this poor Diocese during some of its difficult moments, when it was building its first Cathedral, when it built a senior lodge and now following the August, 2018 floods that killed hundreds of people and did unmeasurable damage to a young Diocese that was founded in 1998. The missionary priests, the religious brothers and sisters in India, did not need this extra burden that has increased the difficulty to minister among the poorest of the poor as St Mother Teresa used to say.

In the days to come, I will assist the Diocese of Kannur by designing a website specifically for the purpose of raising funds in response to the Bishop's Appeal for flood relief. I ask that you consider supporting this good cause and that you mention this need to your friends who can afford to donate a few dollars. Every little bit helps. The website will permit you to make donations by debit or credit cards through PayPal. This will provide you with the opportunity to donate towards the Diocese and/or the flood relief and/or for $5 mass stipends that meet the personal needs of the priests.

Changing the subject, after a year of searching for a professional wood carver, this month I found one. During October, 2018, I ordered from Portugal a 42 inches (about 105 cm) wood sculpture of the Pilgrim Virgin Our Lady of Fatima. The $4,000.00 statue should arrive in early 2019. When it does, I will put a couple photos of Our Lady in the newsletter. I believe this new project will serve the purpose of increasing the faith of many in this part of the country. I would like to see the Pilgrim Virgin statue of Our Lady of Fatima travel to different parishes where devotions will be held for a period of time. More news on this subject in the months to come.

The good works of Catholic Doors Ministry continues to abound because of the silent support of those who give without seeking wordly recognition for their generosity. The heavenly Father sees what you do and He will reward you when the time comes to answer to Him for what was done on earth.

May the Lord Jesus continue to bless you all, providing for your needs as He has provided for the needs of this ministry.
