Dear members of the mystical Body of Christ,

Persevere in the faith! Yes, persevere in the faith! Let not the Church scandals destroy your living faith in Christ. Let not the Church scandals encourage you to abandon your faith. Focus your eyes on Jesus, not on men, not on the sins of others. All are sinners and at present, Satan is working overtime to destroy the reputation of many for who we should have a high esteem. These are the times when we will see who are the real Catholics, those who persevere in the faith.

If Jesus would have wanted a perfect Church, He would have sent angels to administer His Church. But no, instead He chose sinners like Peter who betrayed Him, St. Paul the murderer of Christians, Mary Magdalene the prostitute, Saint Thomas the doubter, and the list goes on. Through their perseverance in the faith, these sinners became Saints. Nobody is born a Saint - you become a Saint through perseverance by carrying your cross until death. Then you are victorious.

Because of this fact of life, we are reminded daily to pray for one another. Through prayers, we obtain the strength that we need to be reminded to focus on Jesus. Through prayers, we see the good within the Church. Through prayer, we see the living faith of the many who are struggling in these days to persevere in their faith. Through prayer, we become one in Christ, with Christ and through Christ.

May the Lord Jesus bless you all through the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary who is watching over each and every one of you. May October be a month of blessings to you and your family.
