CATHOLIC DOORS MINISTRY
presents

The August, 2018 Monthly Newsletter
(Issue # 205)

Dear friends in the Lord Jesus,

As I write this Newsletter, scandals continue to rock the Catholic Church. The issue at hand is sexual misconduct by the cover-up of sexual abuse. There are claims, right to the top, including against the Pope, of a clerical homosexual network that protects and promotes its own in the Church. Pope Francis has been asked to turn in his resignation for having failed to protect the youth against sexual abuse.

In a statement published on August 25th, Vigano, the former Vatican ambassador to Washington, called on Pope Francis to resign on the grounds that the pope knew for years about the sexual misconduct of an American cardinal and did nothing. He protected his friend and allowed him to continue his abuse of the youth. On the one hand, Pope Francis would say he was disgusted with the ongoing abuse, asking forgiveness from the thousands of victims while on the other hands, he continued to promote such abuse. No one can serve two masters!

Since the election of Pope Francis, thousands have left the Church on a daily basis and the numbers continues to grow. The faithful are very divided regarding this papacy.

Other sad news, the Diocese of Kannur that Catholic Doors Ministry has been promoting for years as being in need of Mass stipends to support its priests, has suffered unsurmountable losses during the month of August. The record setting monsoon rains have destroyed the homes of over one million persons, creating flash floods and killing hundreds of people.

Most Rev. Alex Vadakumthala, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kannur, is appealing to all good Catholics to donate whatever they can to help the needy with food, clothing, medicine, housing, etc... What you do today to help the poorest of the poor in India, you will be doing to Jesus and He will remember this decision of yours. Please go here for more details.

Jonn Miller,
Webmaster.
