Greetings from Canada,
I pray that this Newsletter reaches you all while you are flourishing in the graces of the Lord Jesus so your good works may be seen by others in this age when Satan is doing all that he can within his limited power to discredit the Catholic Church. Such is reflected in the media that has been attacking the Catholic Church for a decade on the subject of sexual abuse while remaining silent on the larger number of abuses taking place in the Protestant Churches. It is obvious that Satan has singled out the Catholic Church.
Then Vatican scandals have been coming out one after the other. Pope Francis, speaking in ambiguity, appears to be promoting heresies. This has caused division among the Cardinals, the world's Bishops and the lay members of the Church. The faithful are told that they can receive Holy Communion while living in common-law relationships. Then a Chilean victim of sexual abuse stated that the Pope told him, "God loves gay people and it is fine to be homosexual." And the list goes on and on.
What I found most shocking during May, 2018 was the silence of the Bishop of Ireland. With the May 25th upcoming Referendum on abortion, Catholics were not informed that if they supported abortion, in accordance with the Catechism of the Catholic Church, they would automatically be excommunicated. "Formal cooperation in an abortion constitutes a grave offense. The Church attaches the canonical penalty of excommunication to this crime against human life." [CCC # 2272]
Of the 2,153,613 votes recorded at the Referendum, 66.4% voted in favour of abortion. That is 1,429,613 Irish citizens. Based on the 2011 census, 78.3% of Ireland is Catholic. Therefore, if we take 78.3% of the "yes" voters, that means 1,119,675 were Catholics. By voting "yes" to abortion, these citizens of Ireland have formally cooperated to legalize abortions in their country, contrary to CCC # 2272. Therefore, on that day, May 25, 2018, 1,119,675 Irish Catholics were automatically excommunicated from the Church.
Effective that day, they could no longer receive the Sacraments of the Catholic Church. Don't you think the Bishops of Ireland had an obligation to inform the people of the consequence of their action? Yes, they had an obligation to do so. Yet they chose to remain silent. Not one word has been said on the subject of the excommunication. Consequently, in the days to follow, over 1 million excommunicated Catholics, living in mortal sin, will continue to receive Holy Communion on Sundays as if nothing happened. How much more can they offend the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist?
More than ever, the faithful Catholic children of the Body of Christ are called upon to beg the Heavenly Mother, our Mother, and the Mother of the Church, to intervene. Satan must be stopped. The leadership of the Church, at all levels, and its members must immediately change their attitude and behavior in order to conform with the Divine teachings.
Finally I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that all the visitors of Catholic Doors Ministry and its services are remembered daily during the celebration of the Holy Mass. Your needs are placed before the Altar of the Lord Jesus, asking Him to bless you daily in accordance with His Divine Will.
In the love of Jesus and Mary,
Jonn Miller,
Webmaster.
