Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
December is a month of celebrations and reflections. Christmas is now behind us. The New Year is a few days ahead of us. With the arrival of 2018 comes to mind that the organization of Catholic Doors Ministry shall be 20 years old in August. Yes, it shall be 20 years since this ministry was started. During those many years, many Catholic websites have come and gone. This ministry is one of the few websites on the internet that has been around for so long. Thanks be to God.
During the past month, another 40 Novenas were added to the list of Novenas on the website. Catholic Doors Ministry will now enjoy 500 different Novenas listed on its index as of December 31st. (Four more Novenas need to be added this week.) You can view them at TreasureofNovenas.com
Novenas
Tell your family members, your friends, your co-workers and members of your parish about this great treasure of Novenas. Why go searching all over the internet when the searching has already been done for you? Novenas are used by many to enrich their spiritual lives and to obtain Divine blessings of all sorts.
Homilies
Regarding the homilies for Jauary, 2018, seven different ones have been uploaded to the website at http://www.catholicdoors.com/homilies/index.htm . I continue to get requests from individuals who want the homilies emailed to them once they have been released. I am sorry, but I do not offer that service. The homilies are on the website for you to download as needed.
Society of Saint Pius X
During the past month, I have removed the links to the Society of Saint Pius X (Latin: Fraternitas Sacerdotalis Sancti Pii X; also known as the SSPX or the FSSPX), the international priestly fraternity founded in 1970 by the French Roman Catholic Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. I could no longer tolerate their negative comments towards the Catholic Church, especially their priestly advise to Catholics not to attend any services other than theirs. Considering their services are only available once a month in my community (and not available in many communities), this meant Catholics were left spiritually dry with no alternative for their spiritual growth. Their followers, forbidden to enter any Catholic Church in order to pray, are destined to a spiritual death and eternal hell.
The Pius X priests need many of our prayers so they will have a total change of heart when it relates to the spiritual needs of their followers. As shepherds, you are called to save souls, not to destroy them! What would Jesus say? What would Jesus do? As a good Shepherd, would He abandon His sheep?
Annual Wishes
May I take this opportunity to wish you all endless spiritual and worldly blessing in the year ahead. Let us all make a resolution for 2018 and pray for each other, that we may persist in keeping that resolution for our spiritual growth.
May each day in 2018 be a reminder that you are still here on earth because Jesus still needs you to do His work for the glory of the Heavenly Father.
May God Almighty bless you, in the Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jonn Miller,
Webmaster.
