Dear children of the eternal King,
Earth is about to begin a new chapter in the history of mankind. Another year is about open its doors upon us. What awaits us during the new year? Where should our focus be? Should it be on Jesus and Heaven? Should it be on protecting our family? Should it be on the political state of our country or other nations? Should it be on global warming?
Should it be about employment, education, clothing or food? Should it be about the rising costs of living? Jesus told us where our focus should be. He said, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." [Mt. 6:34]
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?" [Mt. 6:25] "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." [Phil. 4:6] "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." [1 Peter 5:7]
Jesus' advise should be our New Year resolution for 2012. We should entrust our anxieties to God. Our focus should be on prayer, petition, thanksgiving, presenting our requests to God. Then all should go well. That is Jesus' promise to us!
May 2012 be a year of blessings to all of you. May it enrich your souls beyond your greatest expectations. May the Holy Spirit always be by your side.
In the love of Jesus and Mary,
Jonn,
