Dear members of the Body of Christ,
This month, I would like to share with you some statistics of the Catholic Doors Ministry website. From time to time, I have someone asking me, "How many visitors do you get per day?" and/or "What part of the website is visited the most?"
Having reviewed the monthly logs of the past month, it can be said that the Catholic Doors Ministry enjoyed 4,800 daily visitors for a total of 150,000 visits during the month of October, 2007. Those visitors accessed over 1,000,000 (1 million) webpages.
The most popular area of the website is the prayers, enjoying 70,000 visitors and 410,000 webpages that were downloaded. The most popular prayer was "Grace before Meal," this webpage alone having enjoyed 3,000 downloads during October.
The second most popular section of the website is the homilies. October saw 15,823 visits with access to 73,207 webpages. This was followed by 10,335 visitors accessing the Bible Courses and downloading 45,800 of them.
To the best of my knowledge, the two dozen Bible Courses of the Catholic Doors Ministry are used in some American prisons, by military chaplains of different countries, by thousands of parishes (usually for the R.C.I.A. Program) throughout the world, by individual Catholics and non-Catholics who seek spiritual self-growth, etc... The Catholic Doors Ministry is also aware that some of the Bible Courses have been translated in different languages and published in foreign Diocesan Newsletters.
The second most frequently downloaded webpage (after "Grace before Meal") is found in the "Frequently Asked Questions" directory. It is called, "SINS: MORTAL AND VENIAL." There was 2,050 downloads of this webpage during October, 2007. That is about 70 downloads per day.
Of all the homilies that are downloaded throughout the year, the most popular one is the homily of December 8 th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. This particular homily is downloaded daily by those who seek to learn about the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception of Mary.
The above is a summary of the statistics of the Catholic Doors Ministry that began its online service with a few Bible Courses in August, 1998. Who would have imagined that 10 years later, it would have nearly 9,000 webpages and 4500 to 5500 daily visitors? Not me! It is only by the grace of God that this ministry has grown beyond the imagination of all who knew it during it first year.
Have a blessed month of November as you all continue in your spiritual growth.
In the love of the two hearts,
Jonn,
webmaster.
