Dear friends in the Lord,
July and August are upon us. They are the months when most of us take our holidays. For those who can afford it, it is a holiday away from home. Adult and children, they shall travel, go camping, go on picnics, invite their family and friends over for Bar-B-Qs, join a sport, visit a new Church/Parish while away from home, all for the purpose of relaxation. May all of you find the joy that you seek in your Summer adventures.
This past month, no new prayers were added to the website. Instead, I added a number of You Tube videos. Why? When visiting YouTube.com, I was disgusted with all the garbage that was listed when I searched the word "Catholic." There were videos with false Catholic doctrines and no shortage of anti-Catholic attacks. So I started compiling a list of Catholic videos that are suitable for both, adults and children. I now have 42 of them on the website. See the list below.
Under "Frequently Asked Questions," I addressed two issues. First of all, is Mary Divine? It has come to my attention during the past year that some Catholic writers and You Tube creators of videos, refer to the Blessed Virgin Mary as being Divine. It is no wonder that some of our separated brothers and sisters say that we pray to Mary and we have elevated her as a god. This false doctrine is addressed in detail.
Secondly, I address the matter of unfailing Novenas that do fail. Some visitors have been complaining that when saying alleged unfailing Novenas, their prayers are rarely answered. The issue is, "Should members of the Church be promoting Novenas as unfailing?" More and more alleged unfailing Novenas and prayers are appearing on the internet and in the back of Churches among other literature. The prayer life within the Catholic Church is being turned into a form of magic. If you do this and that, then your prayers will be answered. Such is not the case! This matter is addressed under Frequently Asked Questions on the Catholic Doors Ministry website.
Finally, following the internet trends, a blog has been added to the Catholic Doors Ministry. Bloggers are invited to participate in this new project. You will find the link to the blog right below.
May the angels watch over you during the Summer months.
Through the love of Jesus and Mary,
Jonn,
webmaster.
