CATHOLIC DOORS MINISTRY

May, 2007 Monthly Newsletters
(Issue # 85)

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Greetings from the Catholic Doors Ministry. I pray that this newsletter finds you all in good health, physically and spiritually. For what good is it if one is physically healthy but loses his soul because he is not spiritually healthy in the grace of God? In these days, more than ever, when morality is on the decrease all around us, it is an ongoing battle to maintain one's fidelity to Christ and His Church.

The month of June will open with the liturgical celebration of Trinity Sunday. This special day is a time when we should reflect on the mystery of the three Persons in one God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Arising from the mystery of the Holy Trinity, we discover three kinds of love in God, Divine, spiritual and human love. Each kind of love holds a mystery in itself upon which an entire book can be written.

With the approach of Trinity Sunday, let us ask ourselves how each Person of the Holy Trinity loves us. This time of reflection does not have to be limited to "God the Father created me" and/or "Jesus died for me." The love of God is manifested through ongoing Divine providence, Divine protection, the placing of other persons in our lives and so much more. And finally, let us not forget that, in His infinite love, God placed His Church in our lives so that we may come to know Him as He wants us to know Him.

Soon the Summer Holidays will be here. As you prepare yourselves to go on a long trip, camping, fishing, or even a distant picnic at the lake for the weekend, do not forget to prepare yourselves spiritually. It is always wise to receive the Sacrament of Confession on an ongoing basis to ensure that one is in a state of grace should God decide to call one home earlier than expected. Accordingly, all the members of your faith community shall have the assurance that when their time comes, they will meet again with you in Heaven, not for awhile, but for eternity. May Jesus always be with you!

In the hearts of Jesus and Mary,

Jonn,
webmaster.
