Dear children of the Lord Jesus,
With the arrival of November, the Catholic Doors Ministry shall see the uploading of the remaining of the homilies for 2006, over and above the addition of the new Liturgical Calendar for 2006-2007.
During October, 75 new prayers were added to the website. As the number increases, it is becoming more and more difficult to find new prayers that are not listed on the website.
I do not know if all of you have noticed that the Catholic Doors Ministry website contains a generous number of Consecration prayers. One consecration is not listed. It is the consecration of one's newborn infant. In older days, mothers would present themselves before the Sacred Tabernacle in the Church after having given birth to a newborn. There, sometimes accompanied by the father, the child would be presented to Jesus to do with this new life according to His Divine Will. It was left in the hands of Jesus to determine the future vocation of the child, be it the religious life, the married life or celibacy. At the same time, the Lord Jesus was asked to protect this newborn child and provide all of its physical and spiritual needs so he/she may serve the Lord in holy ways. If parents have not consecrated their children to Jesus, they can still do so at any age.
During November, Pope Benedict XVI will be visiting Turkey. Let us unite our prayers for his protection. Through the media, it is common knowledge that there are some who would like to use this opportunity to assassinate him. May our heavenly Mother walk with his holiness during this trip and may she call upon her Son Jesus for Divine assistance as soon as the slightest danger arises.
May November be a month of blessings for all the visitors and supporters of the Catholic Doors Ministry. May the Lord Jesus richly bestow all the necessary graces upon those who strive towards spiritual growth. You remain in the prayers of the Catholic Doors Ministry on a daily basis.
