CATHOLIC DOORS MINISTRY

October, 2004 Monthly Newsletters
(Issue # 54)

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

With the arrival of the month of November approaches the closing of Year C in the Liturgical Calendar. November 28th, the 1 st Sunday of Advent shall begin Year A. Once more, we shall begin the 3 years cycle that shall cover just about the entire Holy Bible during the daily readings. Yes, for those who attend the Holy Mass on a daily basis, in three years, they have heard just about the entire Holy Bible, the Old and the New Testaments.

I am happy to announce that the Catholic Doors Ministry now has 1,208 English prayers on its website. While only 56 new prayers were added to the website during October, the number of prayers has jumped by 100 during the past month. This is because when the files were counted in the past, consideration was not given to a number of webpages that contained more than one prayer, some as many as 6. When these prayers were separated on their individual webpages and a recount was done, we achieved the new result that is mentioned above.

A lot of work was done in the prayers section during the past month. 75 links were added to the webpage of the Prayers to the Saints. While these prayers were already on the website, they were not listed on the webpage for the Saints. This work has begun and more prayers related to the saints remain to be listed. Once completed, that webpage should be fairly long.

A change was done to the webpage of the Prayers to the Saints. These prayers were divided into two categories: the Prayers of the Saints, and the Prayers to the Saints (seeking their intercession).

Similar work was done on the Marian webpage. There you will find links to 20 more prayers that were already on the website, but not listed on this particular page. And you will also find many new prayers that were added during the month. Please see the list below under "Prayers."

When contacting the Catholic Doors Ministry with your prayer intentions, please do not use our email address if you are using the Form that is available on the website for Prayer Requests. Both, the email address and the Form, go to the same email address. This duplicates your work and our work. You are needlessly writing the same thing twice and it has to be read twice at our end. Please use only one service, one or the other.

Every so often an email is received, asking if a previously forwarded prayer petition is still being remembered. When you submit a prayer intention, it is raised before the Throne of the Lord Jesus, the intention(s) being remembered during the daily celebration of the Holy Mass. These intentions are continuously petitioned unless a specific request is received to remove the prayer intention because the prayer has been answered. And if you forget to notify the office of the Catholic Doors Ministry, do not worry. God knows what prayers He has already answered and which ones have not been answered according to His Divine Plan.

Another Feast, Our Lady of Palestine, was added to the webpage of Marian Feasts. This can be viewed at: http://www.catholicdoors.com/news/marian.htm .

May you all have a blessed month that shall enrich your spiritual growth in the Lord Jesus.

In the love of Jesus and Mary,

Jonn,
webmaster.
