Greetings to all my friends in Christ,
HOMILIES
This weekend marks the closing of the Summer holidays. Here in Canada, the children who attend the Public Schools have already returned to school during the past week. Those who belong to the Catholic Schools will begin classes on September 2 nd after the long weekend that ends with Labour Day.
Once more, now that a lot of the Summer excitement is over, many families will strive to re-stabilize their lives, physically and spiritually. For many, the victims of floods, forest fires, destructive storms, black-outs, etc... the process shall be slow. Through the endless prayers and volunteers assistance of their fellowmen, they shall overcome their crosses in time. Let us thank the Lord for all those who answered their calling by providing spiritual and physical assistance.
During August, 2003, the Catholic Doors Ministry limited its expansion to three areas of spiritual work. These are listed in detail below. It is hoped that some of the material will be of benefit to most of you.
During September, I ask you all to unite your daily prayers with mine for the large number of brothers and sisters in Christ who have been writing to the Catholic Doors Ministry, asking for prayers for their special needs. Many of them are enduring hardships of all kinds, some having reached the end of their earthly journey and awaiting the moment when the Lord Jesus shall call them home. I know that I can count on all of you for this special need.
May the month of September bring you all many blessings from the Lord Jesus.
In the love of Jesus and Mary,
Fr. Maurice Levesque
