Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
With the arrival of this newsletter, you will see the closing of year 2001. For most of us, year 2001 will never be forgotten. For some, it will be remember as the year when the life of their loved ones was suddenly taken from them. For others, it will be remembered as 911, the year when their sons and daughters have gone to war, the year when many children lived in fear of war, or the year when many dared not open their mail for fear of anthrax. While terror has struck at the heart of one nation, its impact has left scars on many nations. What future does year 2002 hold for us? We do not know!
While year 2002 remains a mystery at this time, there is still hope of peace! There is still hope that the grace of God will intervene and transform the hearts of those who create the terror and the government authorities who made the decisions regarding the future of its citizen. Through united prayers, fasting and penance, our voices can reach the Heavenly Throne, asking the Almighty Lord Jesus to have mercy on us. Through our many Rosary prayers and the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary before her beloved Son Jesus, there is hope of peace. Let us unite our prayers at this time when the future of the world looks very bleak. For those of us who can fast, let us fast. And all of us, including the little children, should offer up daily sacrifices so the love and mercy of God will shine on us again.
During the month of December, the Catholic Doors Ministry added 268 new webpages. See the details below. As of the closing date of this year, the Catholic Doors Ministry has 4468 files on the Internet, this consisting of a combination of text and graphics files. In total, we are now using over 40 MB of webspace.
With the closing of the year, I wish to thank all those who have prayed for the Catholic Doors Ministry during the year. I also wish to thank those who prayed for the hundreds and hundreds who have approached this ministry for prayers. I wish to thank those who have supported the ministry financially. Without their generous contributions, there would be no Catholic Doors Ministry on the internet. Because of a few, many have been enriched spiritually. I wish to thank those who have found a few mistakes on some webpages and reported them so they could be corrected. Through the involvement of many, this ministry has flourished beyond anyone's expectations.
When year 2000 was closed, the Catholic Doors Ministry was enjoying about 22,500 visitors per month. At the closing of this year, we are enjoying an average of 32,000 visitors per month. This is an increase of approximately 10,000 visitors per month over a one year period. Praise God for having drawn so many to the spiritual work of this ministry.
Finally, I would like to present you all with a New Year E-Card. If you click here: http://www.catholicdoors.com/applets/newyear2/index.htm, you will be able to view it. And if you wish to do so, you can send it to your loved ones by following the instructions at the bottom of the webpage.
