Dear friends of Jesus,
May this 15 th Newsletter find you all in the joy and peace of the Lord Jesus. With the closing of the month of July, half of the Summer months have now gone by. Hopefully this time that has come to pass, over and above having brought many good memories, has been a time of personal spiritual growth.
With the approach of August comes two Marian Feast. On August 15 th, the Catholic Church will be celebrating the Assumption of Mary. On the 22 nd, it will be the Feast of the Queenship of Mary. For those of us who have a devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, these two dogmas involve a time to reflect on the wonder of God that were accomplished through the mother of Jesus. Such reflection will echo the words of Mary, "Surely, from now on all generations will call be blessed." [Lk. 1:48]
During July, the Catholic Doors Ministry enjoyed the addition of a couple new webpages. These additions included links to upcoming Sunday homilies and links to hundreds of Papal documents. Many hours were involved in the researching of these resources and the designing of the webpages. I pray that most of you will benefit from this work. You might consider letting your Pastor know of these links, even the Parish secretary so the information can be shared with others.
For those of you who are not familiar with internet evangelization, I would like to share with you what is involved in the maintaining of a Catholic website. It involves a little more than the new monthly additions that are found below. In the case of the Catholic Doors Ministry, it also includes answering a large number of emails related to prayer requests and general inquiries, some of these requiring research time. It involves updating the statistics page, the Guest Book, downloading and reviewing the daily logs, adding the new names of the Praying Partners, the Prayer Needs of those requesting prayers from the Praying Partners, etc...
May I take a moment to thank those who have written in the past to suggest new additions to the Catholic Doors Ministry and those who have recommended additions and/or amendments to some of the documentation that is found on the website. Your input has been greatly appreciated. Through your personal involvement, the quality of the website content is being kept at its highest degree, all for the glory of God.
May the grace of God be fruitful through all of you during the coming month.
Yours in the love of Jesus and Mary,
Father Maurice Levesque
