Q. 1. I recently heard someone talking about Saint Paul's Letters as "Captivity Letters." I never heard that expression before in the Catholic Church. What exactly does it mean?
A. 1. A reference to the "Captivity Letters" has to do with the period of time when Saint Paul was in prison for the first time in Rome. These writings consist of the Letters to the Ephesians, the Philippians, the Colossians and Philemon.
