Q. 1. Both of my maternal grandparents have passed away. Is it wrong for me to think that grandma and grandpa are now happy together in Heaven?
A. 1. There is no doubt that in their new spiritual bodies, your grandma and grandpa will recognize each other. But that is where their relationship will end. In heaven, humans like the angels, are genderless. There no longer is a need to procreate. As stated by Jesus, “For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in Heaven." [Mt. 22:30]
God has greater plans for each and everyone of us in Heaven. We do not know as of yet what such plans are or what we will look like. But we must trust in His eternal Plan as a loving Father who has created us as His children.
Our eternal relationship in Heaven shall be at the service of God as His children.
