Q. 1. What is the devotion of Adoration?
A. 1. Adoration, also known as "Eucharistic Adoration," is a devotional practice of adoring and praying in the Real Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.
It should be noted that while "Eucharistic Adoration" and "Benediction" are terms that are interchanged, they have slightly different meanings that set them apart.
Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament is the solemn liturgical service, involving exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, an opening prayer, Adoration, incensing, Benediction - a blessing made with the sacrament, and concluding with divine praises and a Psalm
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, also called Eucharist Adoration, usually takes place outside of the formal liturgical rite.
Adoration is a special time when one spends time with Jesus. It is a time to be close to Him as His beloved Disciple John was close to Him. It is a time to feel the presence of the Divine love of God in one's heart.
