Frequently Asked Questions
regarding
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
A PRIEST AND A REVEREND.

Q. 1. When meeting a priest, how should he be address, as "Father Smith," or "Reverend Smith," or "Reverend Father Smith?"

A. 1. When you meet a priest in person, he should always be addressed as "Father." When you write a letter to a priest, you address him as "Reverend Father" in the letter. You never call a priest "Reverend" when talking to him in person.
