Q. 1. Is the priest allowed to omit preaching a homily on weekday Masses if they are not a holy day?

A. 1. Canon Law # 767 states that a priest must preach a homily on Sundays and Holy Days. There is no provision for preaching a homily on a weekday Mass if it is not a holy day.
