A. 1. Baptismal Certificates cannot be changed. You cannot change the name of Godparents on a Baptismal Certificate. The purpose of the Baptism Certificate is to provide proof that the child was baptised, and there was witnesses to this fact, the witnesses being the two Catholic Godparents, or one Catholic Godparent and one non-Catholic Witness/Sponsor. As history cannot be changed, equally Baptismal Certificates cannot be changed.
