Q. 1. What are the Catholic Epistles?
A. 1. The Catholic Epistles are letters found in the New Testament. The Council of Trent listed the Epistles as: Peter I, Peter II, John I, John II, John III, James and Jude.
They are called "Catholic" Epistles because they are "Universal." They address all the faithful of the international Church and not a specific person or local Church.
