Q. 1. I am already a godparent to a child. I was asked if I would accept to be the godparent of another child. Can you tell me, how many godchildren is a godpaent allowed to have?
A. 1. The Catholic Church has never set a limit as to how many godchildren a godparent can have. At the same time, it is logical to say that it would be inapropriate to have ten or twenty godchildren when considering the responsibilities involved.
Q. 2. What about in a situation of twins? Can a person be the godparent of both?
A. 2. Twins can share the same godparent, or each have their own individual godparents.
