A. 1. In accordance with Catholic tradition, there are "Holy Cards' and "Prayer Cards." These are small, devotional pictures, mass-produced for the use of the faithful. They usually depict a religious scene or a Saint in an image about the size of a playing card.

"Holy Cards" are blank on the back.

"Prayer Cards" contain a prayer on the back, some of which promise an indulgence for its recitation. (See the picture above)
