Frequently Asked Questions
regarding
THE MEANING OF
A TEMPORARY IMPEDIMENT.

Q. 1. What is a "temporary impediment?"

A. 1. A "temporary impediment" consists of a temporary situation that prevents a Sacramental Marriage from taking place right now. For example, if one of the spouses to be is underage, the marriage cannot take place at this time. But it can take place at a later time when both spouses have reached the age that is required to be married.
