Q. 1. Are we allowed to chew gum in Church?

A. 1. I would like to answer your question with a question. If Jesus was here talking to you, would you be chewing gum while talking to Him? Any person who has manners would answer "No!"

In the Catholic Church, the home of God, you find the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Tabernacle. When you enter the Catholic Church, you are not entering just another house. You are entering the dwelling of the greatest of all Kings, Jesus Christ, Lord of lords, King of kings, the Almighty Creator of all things.

When you enter the House of the Lord, truly, you should dress properly, remove your shoes, fall on your knees, humble yourself, and beg for mercy so your sins may be overlooked.

Chewing gum is not appropriate in the House of the Lord.
