By popular demand, I am presenting a brief glossary of terms that are often used in the Catholic Church. Non-Catholics may not be familiar with some of these terms. Accordingly, I wish to indicate that some terms have been capitalized only if they are always capitalized. For example, archbishop is capitalized only when used as a title before a name. But the office of the "College of Cardinals" is always capitalized because it is a proper name in all uses.
