O God, Who dost gladden us by the yearly festival day 
of Thine Apostles Philip and James; 
grant we beseech Thee 
that we who rejoice in their merits, 
may be taught by their examples. 
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, 
Who liveth and reigneth with Thee 
in the unity of the Holy Ghost, 
one world without end.
