HIS LAST BREATH

"With a loud cry, Jesus breathed His last." [Mark 15:37]

While normal death comes in total weakness,
Jesus died in strength with a loud cry.

He left His body at the moment of His choosing.

When His Holy Spirit separated from His body,
He closed His eyes, allowing His head to drop,
His upper jaw and lip dropping onto the lower.

His entire body descended from its weight,
Forcing His hands to slightly turn upwards,
And pressuring His knees to thrust outwardly.

His human lungs had breath for the last time,
Collapsing, ceasing all chest movement.

His Sacred Body no longer spilled Blood,
For the heart had stopped pumping.

The moment of total stillness had arrived;
All held their breath in disarray.

In quietus, Jesus's earthly pains had ended.
