CATHOLIC DOORS MINISTRY

July, 2000 Monthly Newsletters
(Issue # 3)

Dear friends of the Catholic Doors Ministry:

Another busy month in the service of the Lord Jesus approaches
its end. This means that it is the time to send out Issue # 3
of the Catholic Doors Ministry Newsletter. During July, the
ministry has continued to be a popular website, drawing over
13,000 visitors from approximately 90 countries. The Newsletter
mailing list has grown from 60 to 90 visitors. Prayer requests
for physical and spiritual needs continue to come in on a daily
basis. There has been an increase in the number of emails from
visitors who are seeking specific answers to questions regarding
the Catholic faith. Through all of this, we see the manifestation
of the grace of God by the power of the Holy Spirit in the Most
Holy Name of Jesus.

As of July 27, 2000, the Catholic Doors Ministry now has 2,500
files on its website, over 2,500 of them being pages that can
be viewed by visitors. The other files consist of graphics and
mouse cursors.

Below, I have listed some of the work that the Catholic Doors
Ministry has added to its website during this month. As you
will see, it covers a wide range of interest, some spiritual
material appealing to ministers of the Word of God, designers
of websites, new converts, and those seeking spiritual growth.

My prayers are with each and everyone of you so you may shine
as a light in the world by sharing with others the awesomeness
of the Lord Jesus that you enjoy in your living faith.

Yours in the love of Jesus and Mary,

Fr. Maurice Levesque,
Director

BEAUTIFUL TEACHINGS OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
(http://www.catholicdoors.com/teaching/index.htm)

Are you a Catholic who is seeking spiritual growth, a
visitor who is inquiring about the Catholic faith, or an
RCIA member? This book will answer your questions, giving
you understand and knowledge of the Catholic faith. It was
written in 1906, contains 2 Volumes and over 30 chapters in
Questions and Answers format. While it presently is under
construction, chapters are being added as they are typed.
Eight chapters are already available for reading. If you
learn the entire content of this book, you will know more
about the Catholic faith than the average Catholic.

C.D.M. WORLD NEWS
(http://www.catholicdoors.com/news/moreover.htm)

The Catholic Doors Ministry World News Page has gained
popularity during July. We are aware of at least three
websites that have placed a link to this page. Also,
our daily statistics demonstrate that over 10% of our
visitor visit this page, most of them entering our
website through the Catholic News page.

ENGLISH PRAYERS
(http://www.catholicdoors.com/prayers/index.htm)

The Catholic Doors Ministry has now reached 250 English
prayers, including litanies and novenas. Nicely set up
in alphabetic order, it is easy to find a prayer for
your special needs.

F.A.Q. (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)

The F.A.Q. page has grown from 6 to 13 subjects. Now,
you can find answers to questions related to: Communion
and Divorce; the complete list of Popes; what is Mortal
Sin; and other subjects of interest.

HOMILIES
(http://www.catholicdoors.com/homilies/index.htm)

5 of the 6 August homilies have been completed and
uploaded on the website. The last one will be added
in a couple of days.

LITURGY CALENDAR
(http://www.catholicdoors.com/liturgy/index.htm)

It has been noticed that year 2000 does not have as
many Liturgical Calendars as were available during
1999. Also, a number of search engines were
bringing visitors to the Catholic Doors Ministry
during their search. As such, it was decided to
provide this service to those in need of it,
especially the ministers of the Word of God.

MARIAN FEASTS
(http://www.catholicdoors.com/news/marian.htm)

Last month, I forgot to mention that a new page
was added. If anyone needs to know the dates of
Marian Feasts, this is the page to visit.

NOVENA
(http://www.catholicdoors.com/prayers/novena.htm)

Because many search engines were taking visitors to
the Prayer Page when they were searching for a
Novena, and many visitors were leaving the website
when they were overwhelmed with the number of prayers
on that particular page, I have made a separate page
that lists only the Novenas... 50 of them. Now,
when a search engines will take a visitor to the
Novenas page, it will be easy to find the Novena
of choice.

PRAYING PARTNERS
(http://www.catholicdoors.com/praying.htm)

I wish to thank the new Praying Partners who have
joined the Program during the month of July. With
an increased number of Partners who are praying daily
for those in need, it is hope that the grace of God
will be manifested abundantly on those who ask for
our prayers.

SITE MAP
(http://www.catholicdoors.com/menu.htm)

Because of the length of the Site Map page that
contained the list of all our pages, I have divided
the page in 2. This will shorten its loading time
and allow the visitor to click to the NEXT PAGE
to continue reviewing the entire listing of the
Catholic Doors Ministry.

THE ROSARY
(http://www.catholicdoors.com/prayers/english/p04200.htm)

Noticing an increasing number of websites, especially
parishes, that were linking to the page "How To Pray
The Rosary," I gave this page a facelift and list it
in the left index of our main page. Although this
page is still listed among the prayers, because of
its increased popularity, it deserved more visibility.
Let us pray that the Immaculate Heart of Mary will
draw more to this page so that all can learn to
recite the Rosary.
