Why you are redirected to the Vatican website
when you click on the homily link.

Last update: January 25, 2011

Dear visitor,

During March, 2010, it came to my attention that computers from Canada and Nigeria have been acting strangely. When visitors tried to access the homily for the upcoming Sunday on the Catholic Doors Ministry website, they were constantly redirected to the Vatican website.

Note: Since then, I have received complaints from many countries.

Well, it appears that their computers were infested with malware that prevents them from accessing any of the homilies on my website.

More specifically, the problem is with the browser, Internet Explorer. It has been infected!

The following website http://www.brighthub.com/computing/windows-platform/articles/60039.aspx provides possible causes and fixing redirect problems that are related to IE8 Redirect Problems.

The problem has nothing to do with the Catholic Doors Ministry ministry and its links. I repeat, the problem has nothing to do with my website. The problem is with the browser program that you are using.

Here is a quick solution:

Download Mozilla Firefox. You will be able to immediately view the homilies that are being blocked by your infected Internet Explorer.

OR

Download Google Chrome. You will be able to immediately view the homilies that are being blocked by your infected Internet Explorer.

A slower solution:

Uninstall Internet Explorer from your computer.

Then

Reinstall Internet Explorer on your computer.

Note: You cannot choose to repair Internet Explorer, nor install on top of the infected version. You must completely uninstall Internet Explorer off your computer.

You must then identify how your browser got infected. Most likely, you opened an email from someone you did not know and it contained the malware that infected your computer. So review all your incoming emails and delete those from unknown sources. NEVER OPEN EMAIL THAT IS NOT CLEARLY IDENTIFIED. ONCE IT IS OPENED, IT IS TOO LATE... YOUR COMPUTER HAS BECOME INFECTED.

Get a free anti-virus program such as "AVG Free" and "AVAST free" and install it on your computer. Do a complete scan of your computer to clean it of any viruses, spyware, malware, etc...

At this time, I have not located a program and/or a website that will quickly fix your infected Internet Explorer. When I find a quicker solution, I will update this webpage. In the meantime, your choices are listed above.

It appears that someone has a tremendous dislike for the Catholic Church and its good works of evangelizing on the internet. The redirect program, associated with Internet Explorer, only affects the homilies webpage. No other links on the Catholic Doors Ministry website are affected, nor are the links on other websites, Catholic or not. Based on this fact alone, it is clear that the attack is directed towards Catholic Doors Ministry.

I guess when homilies become popular, Satan is bound to whisper in the ears of sinners so they may grow in their sinfulness. On regular weekdays, 3,000 homilies are downloaded each day from the website of Catholic Doors Ministry. On Fridays and Saturdays, this number increased to 7,000 daily homilies being downloaded. That is 29,000 homilies per week. Such a number is bound to have an impact on the spiritual battle between good and evil in the spiritual world. The good news is that we know Who is going to win the battle. In fact, He has won it already by conquering death!
